Wound Care

Our team has a proven track record of healing wounds — even those that have not responded to other treatments. Along with clinical excellence, our local team of healing specialists are passionate about providing personalized care and will develop a healing plan that is specific to your needs.

Our physicians treat a variety of wounds, including:

  • Diabetic foot wounds
  • Venous ulcers
  • Arterial ulcers
  • Surgical and pressure related wounds
  • Osteomyelitis
  • Radiation injury/necrosis
  • Necrotizing infections

Working together with the referring physician and other care providers, our multi-specialty team provides individualized care and offers some of the most current modalities, including:

  • Hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy
  • Bioengineered tissue alternatives
  • Negative pressure wound therapy
  • Specialty dressings/wraps
  • Compression therapy
  • Debridement
  • Offloading
  • Total contact casting
  • Topical medications

Approved HBO therapy indications include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Diabetic wounds of the lower extremities
  • Chronic refractory osteomyelitis
  • Delayed radiation injury (soft tissue and bony necrosis)
  • Osteoradionecrosis
  • Preparation or preservation of compromised skin grafts and flaps
  • Cystitis and proctitis due to late effects of radiation
  • Crush injuries

Hyperbaric oxygen chamber treatment increases the amount of oxygen available in your bloodstream as well, improving circulation and allowing oxygen to reach damaged tissues.
